Puppy Potty Training

Giving in and buying baby pugs for sale, Chihuahua puppy for sale, mini schnauzer for sale, or any other young dog entails having to undergo potty training. Puppies are more prone to having potty accidents at home since they find it more difficult to hold it in unlike adult dogs. This is because as growing animals, young dogs tend to eat more food, expend more energy, and have the urge to eliminate more often. Moreover, they still don’t have full bowel and bladder control.

That being said, it is important for pet owners to be hands-on during potty training. Bear in mind that puppies need a potty schedule based on their age, activity level, and meal times. Also, when training pups, be sure to assign a specific place for him or her to eliminate waste. Don’t forget to praise him or give him a treat every time he goes at the right place at the right time.

Most importantly, when a puppy makes an accident, avoid freaking out especially if he is not caught in the act. This would only confuse him. Avoid yelling at him or rubbing his nose into it. Doing so would only make the puppy sneak around.
