The Pug puppy is an astute little guy with a happy attitude. They are animated, peppy and good spirited are very loyal and loving and so affectionate with their owners. They are playful, lively and love to wrestle, and are sure to make you laugh. Very smart, and can get bored with training. Pugs have sensitive hearing and respond to the tones of a harsh demand and so they are sensitive puppies. The owner of a pug puppy needs to be calm assertive and an “alpha male.” The dog does not excite easy but is definitely not dull. They are excellent watchdogs, and devoted and not yappy. Pugs get along well with other dogs just fine, and they behave on their best behavior with both children and guests. You must be a Pug’s pack leader. Pugs with no human leadership can become jealous, and begin to display aggressive guardian like behaviors, claiming furniture, their food bowel, their squeaky toys, or any other places around the house. This behavior only happens when dogs are allowed to take over.
Pug puppies are muscular strong dogs with short stocky legs. They will need to be taken on daily strolls. While walking the dog should stay beside or behind the person holding the leash, this action tells the puppy who is in the lead and who is the leader. They enjoy games and will be healthier puppies with regular exercise.
